It contains several data items such as the name of the server that placed it (server of the site you are visiting), an identifier in the form of a unique number, and possibly an expiration date for the cookie.
Cookies allow their issuer to recognise the terminal of the user with which it they are registered and to collect information related with their browsing on the sites.

“Analytics cookies” (or “traffic measurement cookies”): these anonymously collect traffic data in order to establish statistics and traffic volumes (number of visits, pages viewed, etc.) and to ascertain the use of elements making up the Site (sections and pages consulted, etc.), allowing the Marinove company to monitor and improve the quality of its services.
